Academic Excellence
VisionsOne Young Scholars Project is seeking additions to the donations for staffing positions, staff
professional development, research, and academic initiatives. We are also seeking in-kind gifts and/or donations.
Computers are always a plus, Mac's are needed.
FACULTY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Staff members
at VisionsOne Young Scholars Project are expected to continue throughout their careers to build their strength as
peer educating paraprofessional with a passion to assist our young children in their dreams and our goals in fully understanding
that everyone can be scholars, artists, and teachers, if they are conditioned in a healthy environment to do so. VisionsOne's
strongly believes in keeping staff abreast of developments in their positions and teaching methods.
What
matters to us
VisionsOne Young Scholars Project and Foundation puts top priority on reinforcing the California Standardized curriculum
in addition to reducing the teacher/student ratio from 35:1 to 10:1.

Intermedia Arts
Electronic media are changing
how we communicate both within and among academic disciplines. Nowhere is this more evident than in the fine arts. VisionsOne
Young Scholars Project and Foundation staff members from all arts disciplines have collaborated in developing an Intermedia
Arts Program within the program's initiative.
The program offers significant opportunities to Middle and High school students from Oakland Schools,
such as computer science and creative writing, to become proficient in electronic media. The skills gained ready them for
careers in the arts, multimedia, Internet communications, and audio and video production and prepares the student for top
colleges and universities within the country.
This program is a grassroots program. We thank you in advance for your support.
